    • -Meghan T.

Honest and fair mechanics! I've worked with Steve both times I took my far it. Good prices. He doesn't fix things that don't need fixed! Awesome place!

    • -Betsy C.

I was recommended by a friend and was very happy with the service I received. They stand behind their work.

    • -Rena K.

Steve is fantastic. Couldn't get my headlight bulbs unscrewed myself, he told me to come by and he got them both done. Even though I'd never been a customer before, he charged me zero! Definately a new place to take my cars for maintenance & repairs. As stated in other reviews this is a shop that has integrity and is not out to overcharge you. I'll be back.

    • -Gene G.

Steve helped me out in a pinch. I just returned from a 2 week road trip and needed to get a new alternator before hitting the road again. I didn't have much time on my hands, but Steve worked with me. I was pleased with the service, timeliness, and honesty. Thanks Steve!

    • -Susan H.

Outstanding! They saved my life because I was driving with loose ball joints from MT. They were able to help me and I am back on the road. Thank you so much Mike and Erik! Terrific people and very helpful.

    • -Trevor G.

Great shop. I was referred to JM&H by some friends and was it worth it. I called and spoke with Stephen, got an appointment set, on the day of my appointment I get there describe what I think is wrong and supply eric the Mechanic who worked on my car, with the parts that I brought. An hour later I was all fixed up and back out on the road!! Big shout out to Stephen, Mike and Eric! Thanks guys!

    • -Gary G.

I've been a customer for over 30 years when Joe, Mike and Hans first started. What has kept me here is that tradition of quality service, honesty and fairness that Steve is maintaining. Big "thumbs up" for J, M & H!

    • -Christina T.

I have brought multiple vehicles to J M & H and they have always been able to get me in quickly, give me an honest quote on what needs to be done and get the work done in a timely manner. The staff is very friendly and I've never felt like I was paying to much for anything done.

    • -Daniel R.

I went for the first time this past week and I have to say that I had amazing service. Stephen the owner, is a stand-up guy and runs a great business. He goes out of his way to make sure you're well taken care of and that you leave happy with the work. The service was quick and well done. I would HIGHLY recommend this shop!

    • -Shawn J.

Good service and took my vehicle in on a late afternoon. Got the A/C repair done in under an hour. Half the price of Jiffy Lube for the same repair. Best place!

    • -Marnie J.

I can definitely say that they are honest, trustworthy and very friendly there! Being a single female, it's always scary going somewhere to have your car worked on because you never know what to expect or what some company may try to con you into buying. With this company, that is the last thing you need to worry about...I 100% trust them and the advice they give! The service was phenomenal and they take care of you immediately. I'm definitely going back to them for my car needs!!

  • According to recent studies, 5 percent of all motor vehicle fatalities are clearly caused by automobile maintenance neglect.
  • The cooling system should be completely flushed and refilled about every 24 months. The level, condition, and concentration of coolant should be checked. (A 50/50 mix of anti-freeze and water is usually recommended.)
  • Never remove the radiator cap until the engine has thoroughly cooled. The tightness and condition of drive belts, clamps and hoses should be checked by a pro.
  • Change your oil and oil filter as specified in your manual, or more often (every 3,000 miles) if you make frequent short jaunts, extended trips with lots of luggage or tow a trailer.
  • Replace other filters (air, fuel, PCV, etc.) as recommended, or more often in dusty conditions. Get engine drivability problems (hard stops, rough idling, stalling, diminished power, etc.) corrected at a good shop.
  • A dirty windshield causes eye fatigue and can pose a safety hazard. Replace worn blades and get plenty of windshield washer solvent.
  • Have your tires rotated about every 5,000 miles. Check tire pressures once a month; let the tires cool down first. Don't forget your spare and be sure your jack is in good condition.
  • Check your owner's manual to find out what fuel octane rating your car's engine needs then buy it.
  • Keep your tires inflated to the proper levels. Under-inflated tires make it harder for your car to move down the road, which means your engine uses more fuel to maintain speed.
  • Lighten the load. Heavier vehicles use more fuel, so clean out unnecessary weight in the passenger compartment or trunk before you hit the road.
  • Use the A/C sparingly. The air conditioner puts extra load on the engine forcing more fuel to be used.
  • Keep your windows closed. Wide-open windows, especially at highway speeds, increase aerodynamic drag and the result is up to a 10% decrease in fuel economy.
  • Avoid long idling. If you anticipate being stopped for more than one minute, shut off the car. Contrary to popular belief, restarting the car uses less fuel than letting it idle.
  • Stay within posted speed limits. The faster you drive, the more fuel you use. For example, driving at 65 miles per hour (mph) rather than 55 mph, increases fuel consumption by 20 percent.
  • Use cruise control. Using cruise control on highway trips can help you maintain a constant speed and, in most cases, reduce your fuel consumption.
  • Keep your engine tuned. A fouled spark plug or plugged/restricted fuel injector can reduce fuel efficiency as much as 30 percent.
  • Inspect the engine's belts regularly. Look for cracks or missing sections or segments. Worn belts will affect the engine performance.
  • Have the fuel filter changed every 10,000 miles to prevent rust, dirt and other impurities from entering the fuel system.
  • Change the transmission fluid and filter every 15,000 to 18,000 miles. This will protect the precision-crafted components of the transmission/transaxle.
  • Inspect the suspension system regularly. This will extend the life of the vehicle's tires.
